The Rotunda in the Transportnaya mini-park of Voronezh is one of the main city monuments of the war time. So the locals have called the ruins of the training building of the Regional Hospital. The clinic received a new building in 1940, but in 1942-1943 the hospital area became a scene of fierce battles during the Second World War. Unfortunately, only a reinforced framing of the educational amphitheater has remained from the former hospital. In 1965, the city administration assigned the status of a monument to the Rotunda.
Preservation services of the Rotunda were last performed in the 1980s, so in recent decades the Rotunda has significantly ruined, up to the collapse of the dome in 2008. Nevertheless, the gaping voids in the elegant building are still imposing. Behind the Rotunda you can see St. Prince Vladimir's Cathedral, which is under construction.
