The Museum of History of Science and Equipment of the Sverdlovsk Railroad is housed in the station building in Yekaterinburg, which was built in 1878. In 1914 it was no more used as a station, but in 2003 the building was reconstructed.
The area in front of the square and the building, which houses the Museum of History of Science and Equipment of the Sverdlovsk Railroad, is decorated with sculptures of representatives of the railway professions which were once applied at the station: railway engineers, railroad workers, station master and conductor. Rarities, related to the period of beginning of railway construction in Russia, have been used in the exposition design.
