The Museum of Gold appeared in the city of Berezovsky, Sverdlovsk region, in 1970. It is known that gold was first discovered in these parts in 1745. So a "gold rush" started in Russia. Fast-buckers and adventurer seekers made tracks for the Urals already in the XVIII century.
The Museum of Gold in Berezovsky has restored the conditions of life and work of miners of the past: it exhibits their equipment and recreates the gold mining process. Thanks to the peculiar design of the museum rooms, visitors can fantasize themselves into gold miners.
