The Museum "Battle Glory of the Urals" is located in the town of Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Sverdlovsk region. Its theme is not accidental: most of the military industry of the Soviet Union was focused in the Urals during World War II, although the region continued to work for the needs of the military-industrial complex after the war as well. The museum was founded in 2005 on the initiative of veterans of the Ural military enterprises. The area for the museum was arranged in front of "Uralelectromed" plant, the main enterprise of Verkhnyaya Pyshma, which has never produced any military equipment.
The open-air Museum of Military Equipment currently presents tanks, infantry combat vehicles and military trucks. In 2013 the museum also acquired an indoor area. A three-storey building exhibits samples of light equipment: airplanes, motorcycles, small arms, military uniform clothing and military equipment.
