Lenin Square is the main square in Tula. Here are the Administration of the Tula region, the central Wedding Palace, the monument of Lenin itself and the monument to the main symbol of the city - gingerbread.
The monument to the gingerbread appeared on Lenin Square in 2014. Its diameter is 2.5 meters and it weighs 1.3 tons! On the front side of the monument it is written that the Tula gingerbread has been known since 1685, and the wish is "For Happiness", on the back - "Glory to the Tula craftsmen" and a quatrain about this dessert. The monument, like the gingerbread itself, became one of the symbols of the city. And this is one of the most photographed objects in Tula.
