Arseniev Museum of Primorsky Region: "living" history of the Far East
Primorsky region is famous for its unique nature. One can find out about it and its features in the Museum of Primorsky Region, which bears the name of the famous researcher of these lands, Vladimir Arsenyev. Despite the fact that the museum was established only in the XIX century, it is the oldest museum in the Far East and Eastern Siberia.
The exposition of the Primorsky Museum is based on unique ethnographic and archaeological collections of scientists and researchers of the XIX century. Each room reveals pages from the life of the Far East: crafts and agriculture, animal and underwater world and historical milestones of development. The unique collections of porcelain, carved and engraved bones, a large collection of ancient and modern cold weapons from around the world are also interesting.
