Museum of Industrialism is located in the building of the former casthouse, constructed in the 1900s. Here you will be told how during the past 250 years the industry of Saxony has developed. In the building of the former textile factory you can get acquainted with every stage of manufacture of wool clothes. A former mine, now equipped with a lift, also belongs to the museum, and visitors can descend to 100 m below. In order for you to learn the life of miners, you will be provided with a helmet and rubber boots and will be allowed to work with a chisel and a hammer. By the way, during the Soviet times, it was not only coal that was extracted in the Ore Mountains, but uranium ore as well. There are more than thousand exhibits in the museum. You can also take a trolley ride on its territory.
