Dragon Syrau Cave - the only cave in Saxony open totourists- is in the vicinity of Plauen. Here you can admire the beauty ofstalactites, crystal clear lakes, and intricately cut up wall. The name of thecave is explained by a legend about a dragon that once lived in the cave. Butthis is a legend. In the Middle Ages people had no idea about the cave and itwas found in 1928 by the local stonemason Ludwig Undeutsch. Already six monthsafter this discovery, the city authorities decided to open the cave entrancefor all.
