The exhibits in the Bicycle Museum «Samokat» can not only be touched, but also practiced. Younger guests can even participate in mini-races! The two-wheeled «iron horses» displayed in the museum illustrate the history of the Soviet bicycle industry, from three-wheeled children’s cycles to racing models. You can even see more than century-old bicycles, wooden and forged, with different-sized wheels, as well as modern run bikes.
Along with the standard models, the Bicycle Museum contains highly unusual ones, like a drunk bike that goes counter the direction of the handlebar, as well as a bar bicycle. Some models are quite serviceable: the founder of the museum even used one of them to make a bike ride for the Victory Day. The tour of the museum is complemented by exhibition of two mini-films dedicated to the history of the bicycle and the world’s most unusual cycling machines.
