Art-Kommunalka Erofeyev and Others Museum-Residency in Kolomna is a unique art space, a real time machine that brings visitors back to the 60s of the XX century and is reminiscent of the communal life in the USSR during the Khrushchev era.
50 years ago a shop “Ogonyok” was located in the building of the present museum, in which the famous Russian writer Venedikt Yerofeyev worked as a loader. In memory of this event, the museum created an art workshop where contemporary writers and painters periodically live and work. Guests of the museum can become participants in the "real Soviet life": sit in the communal kitchen, taste Soviet sausages with peas, drink Indian tea "with an elephant" on the tea box or eat sherbet ice cream. A real court yard of the period of the 60s of the XX century, where one can sit on a bench and play dominoes or lotto, is recreated near the museum.
