Caricatura is the first German Gallery for Comic Art. The collection of the gallery, which occupies the former railway building, includes cartoons, comic drawings for the press, political and religious satire on the brink of breaking the rules. The gallery exhibits the works of such well-known German cartoonists as Achim Greser and Heribert Lenz, Ernst Kahl, Til Mette. You can also see intangible examples of this art during the speeches and master classes of comics. The gallery regularly hosts a large-scale exhibition CARICATURA. There are no taboo subjects for the gallery, and that causes problems with the public: thus, in 2012 the believers of Kassel were offended by the caricature of Jesus, displayed outside the building of Caricatura Gallery.
