Victory Park in Yessentuki was laid out in the central part of the city in 1903. It was called Angliyskiy Park (English park) due to the abundance of free spaces inherent in this style of landscape design. Victory Park looks like a forest park.
In Soviet times Victory Park was renamed as Komsomolsky. It got its original name in 2015, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Victory. In 1972, a monument was erected in the park in the form of heavenward banners, with the Eternal Flame burning next to it. The park is well suited for fresh air and exercise, running and practicing Nordic walking. There is also a playground for children, carousels and a Ferris wheel, and the shady alleys are perfect to shelter from summer heat.
