The village of Uch-Dere, located about 16 kilometers far from Sochi, is an introduction of local varieties of tea, their special features and the tasting of this drink.
In 1972 tea houses were built in the village of Uch-Dere. The main building is a traditional house of a merchant family of the XIX century - a wooden frame decorated with carvings. On the ground floor there are tastings of local tea with hypericum, mint, thyme, cranberries or black currant leaves, round cracknels as well as pies, honey, jam from made of fig and guavasteen. They offer and sell tea in tea houses as well as demonstrate the correct way of growing, collecting and brewing tea. On the second floor there are samples of folk crafts from different regions of Russia.
