The Zakheim Gate on the Lithuanian shaft in Kaliningrad is a covered arch with four towers: two round from the center and two octagonal from the opposite. The original wooden gate was part of the first city fortification of the 17th century. In 1848 a brick gate with full towers with loopholes appeared in its place.
The road to Berlin passed through the Zakheim Gate. After the restoration in 2006 the art space "Gates" was designed inside the building. Exhibitions, film screenings, creative master classes and concerts are held in the brick towers, and on the ground floor there are cafes, coworking, and a furniture workshop.
