The palace of the Emir of Bukhara appeared on the slopes of Yalta in 1911 after the influential Uzbek emir arrived to the Crimea on a visit to Emperor Nicholas II. Emir liked the nature of the Crimea so much that he decided to build his residence here.
As a result of this decision the palace of the Emir of Bukhara in the Moorish style appeared near Yalta, decorated with openwork carvings, columns and exquisite balustrades. The emir gave the name of his residence - "Dilkiso", which in Turkish means "captivating", "charming". After the revolution of 1917 the palace was nationalized and Yalta Oriental Museum was opened there. And today the palace is one of the buildings of the sanatorium "Yalta", therefore it is almost impossible to get there.
