The Holy Face of Christ the Savior Church is often called the Spassky or the Olympic. After all, it is located near the Olympic Park. A stone from the Byzantine temple of the IX century, the ruins of which were discovered in Sochi in 2010, lies in the foundation of the church. That is why the new church was built in the Neo-Byzantine style.
Inside the Church the relics of Christian martyrs, found near the ancient stone, are preserved. Under the temple there is a space for a conference hall and a refectory. Russian artists spent six months and 300 kg of paint while painting the interior of the church. The figure of the Savior is inside the main dome. In the park the shelter of St. John the Baptist for the elderly churchmen is next to the church.
