Sochi Railway Station is very similar to the station in the city of Simferopol. Both buildings were built with a difference of one year according to the design of one architect - the author of several Moscow metro stations and the high-rise Red Gate building in Moscow - the architect Alexey Dushkin. The three-story building of white sandstone with a gallery, granite columns and high arches is one of the most famous ones in Sochi
The main mystery of the Sochi Railway Station is the zodiacal signs on the black dial of the clock tower. It is curious that, like in Simferopol, some constellations are replaced and located in an unusual order at the station clock. There is a version that this is a code that the architect left. But no one has succeeded to decipher his message. A copy of the fountain with a sculpture of a girl with a jug, made in the Italian style, is located in one of the three inner courtyards of the station. The original is kept in the Sochi History Museum.
