Sochi Discovery World Aquarium was opened in 2009. It has 30 aquariums with a volume of 5 million liters. After the similar aquariums in Moscow and Vladivostok, this occupies the honorable third place. The visit will take no more than an hour. 

The inspection of the Sochi aquarium starts from the second floor, decorated under a tropical jungle with a waterfall. In aquariums there are goldfish and fish from the rivers of South America, Africa, Europe, and Southeast Asia: piranhas, discus, cichlids, gourami, sturgeons and stingrays. One can also buy a bag of food and feed Japanese carp. A close acquaintance with the abodes of the oceans will provide a walk along the "bottom of the sea". This is possible thanks to a 44-meter tunnel with a 17-centimeter acrylic glass. Sharks, sea horses, unicorn fish, a ball fish, a hedgehog, a surgeon, a clown, a fiery fox, morays, eels, jellyfish, corals swim over the heads of visitors. A sunken ship at the bottom of the ocean and a mermaid show is arranged. One can watch the feeding of sharks at 2:00 PM every day.
