The Small West Siberian Railway in Novosibirsk is also called the Children's Railway, as future railroaders are trained here. However, anybody who wants to can take a trip on it. The train is carried by four narrow-gauge locomotives, built specially for this road. The railway is open from June 1 to September 30.
The first 2630-meters long section of the Small West Siberian Railway began to work in 2005. After the second section was opened in 2006, its length increased to 5300 meters. Now the road starts at Zaeltsovsky Park, runs by the park along the Ob riverbank, twice goes up to the bridge and makes the finish at the Zoo. From the "Locomotive" station you can find the way to the leisure center with swimming pools, playgrounds for ATVs, rollers and volleyball players. You can also reach the Zaeltsovsky beach.
