Sikhote-Alin Nature Reserve: Amur tigers live here

If translated from the Manchu language, Sikhote-Alin means a country of high mountains and turbulent rivers. The Sikhote-Alin Nature Reserve is proud of its mountains, rivers, dense forests and transparent lakes.

The Sikhote-Alin Reserve was founded in 1935 to restore the sable population. When the work began, it was found out that the coastal forests happily avoided the fire, cuttings and hunter-poachers. This is why the rarest animals and plants are abundant here. In 2001 the reserve was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and now they have been actively monitoring the largest and rare representative of the cat family - the Amur tiger. Tourists are offered a variety of routes most often calculated for several days. Excursions are conducted by scientists of the reserve, so the accuracy of information and vivid impressions are guaranteed.
