Resort Rosa Khutor opened in 2010, and in 2014 Olympic competitions were held here. The lower base of the resort is located in the valley of the Mzymta River, the ski slopes are laid here on the slopes of the Aibga Ridge. Olympic champion 1972 Bernhard Russi took part in development of the sports routes. For the Olympics-2014 the resort also built an "Extreme Park" for snowboarders and freestylers.
Now Rosa Khutor is 77 kilometers of trails of varying complexity with a difference of altitudes of one and a half kilometers. Thanks to the system of artificial snow, the ski season lasts from November to the end of April. In the summer there is also something to do. There are hiking and biking trails, the Panda Park rope complex and an indoor ice rink. The entertaining program will become even more diverse when the construction of the theatrical platform "Laizo" at the height of 1000 meters will be completed.
