Riviera Park Riviera Park as a Point of Attraction
The Riviera Park is located on the territory of a summer house of the industrialist Vasily Khludov built in 1898. Next to his house is a pond that repeats the contour of the Black Sea. People are attracted to the park by its beautiful alleys, a lot of attractions and cafes.
In the Riviera Park there is a large Sochi Dolphinarium. A Zoo Rio with lemurs, monkeys, crocodiles and pythons is located in the same building. In 2007 they added an oceanarium with marine and freshwater fish and coral reefs. Here one can see a show with mermaids and feeding fish with scuba divers. The park also has a garden of butterflies, a penguinarium and many children's attractions. Music concerts are organized in the Green Theater in the warm seasons. Trees and bushes planted by cosmonauts and politicians grow on the Glade of Friendship in the center of the park. The first magnolia was planted here in 1961 by Yuri Gagarin. In summer it is worth to admire the rose garden.
