Pushkinskaya Street is one of the oldest streets in Vladivostok. Once upon a time there was a small naval hospital here, for this reason the street was named Gospitalnaya. But in fifty years after the death of the great Russian poet A.S. Pushkin, it was decided to rename the street in memory of him.
Now walking along Pushkinskaya Street one can admire the ancient buildings of various styles and directions, including the famous House of Sollogub, the magnificent Lutheran Church, the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of the Peoples of the Far East and, of course, the building of the Pushkin Theatre.
