Nikita Botanical Garden is the oldest and one of the largest parks in the Crimea. It conducts excursions, and for a long time a scientific work has been implemented here on the cultivation and breeding of unique plants collected from all the corners of the globe. Curiously, the garden appeared at the end of the 19th century, when an active development began in the Crimea and there was a need for a large number of exotic plants, seedlings and seeds for the arrangement of extensive park areas. Therefore, at the request of Count Vorontsov, the governor of this region that time, the Nikita Botanical Garden was founded in the Greek village of Nikita near Yalta.
Today the Nikita Botanical Garden is an amazing variety of plants, kilometers of paths and park alleys connecting the upper and lower parks. On the territory of the garden there is a scientific museum, in which rare specimens of plants are collected, including of the XIX-XX centuries. It also organizes seasonal flower shows: in mid-May thousands of tulips are blossoming, in the summer - incredibly beautiful roses, and autumn is the time of "The dancing party of chrysanthemums".
