Monument to Kuban Cossacks: History of the Kuban and Cossack Songs

Architectural Monuments

The Monument to Kuban Cossacks appeared in Krasnodar in 2005. A proud “bronze” Cossack on the horse embodies the memory of "Cossacks - the founders of the land of Kuban". Sculptor Alexander Apollonov tried to embody a brave and courageous pioneer Cossack to remind residents and guests of the city of the Kuban settlement history.

Anton Golovaty, one of the first settler-heroes, has become a prototype for the figure of the Cossack. The bronze rider wears the uniform of the Black Sea Cossack. The height of the Monument to Kuban Cossacks is over 7 meters. Residents of the city advise to come here on Sundays by 12:00 pm, when Cossacks from the Kuban Cossack Army give a unique performance.
