Since its opening in 1955 the Marine Passenger Terminal in the style of the Stalin Empire has become one of the symbols of Sochi. Its tower 71 meters high is decorated with sculptures. Female figures on the first tier symbolize the seasons, the men on the second - the sides of the world, the third depicts dolphins. The Order of the Great Patriotic War was replaced by a Soviet star at the top of the high steel spire.
Fishermen find room on the dock near the Marine Passenger Terminal and here yachts and boats are moored. One can go on a boat trip from here to admire the view of Sochi from the sea and also admire the mountains that surround the city. In the square in front of the station there is a fountain with a sculpture Goddess of the Navigation indicating the way to the sailors. In 2010 south of the station sculptures of the heroes of the popular Soviet comedy "The Diamond Arm" were installed. It was here that one of the scenes of the film was shot.
