Only 10 people provide service at the manor complex of the XIX century in the village of Lenino-Kokushkino. Here is a two-storey wooden house which belonged to Lenin's grandfather - Alexander Blank. Vladimir Ulyanov was deported here for active participation in revolutionary meetings of students in 1887-1888 years.
In 1902 the historical mansion in Lenino-Kokushkino was destroyed by a violent fire. Only an outbuilding survived in which in 1939 they opened the Lenin Museum. Today's simple wooden house is a copy of Blank's estate recreated from archival drawings. Documents, letters, books dedicated to the Simbirsk and Kazan periods of Lenin's life are among the exhibits. After a tour of the house one can walk around the memorial park next to the manor.
