Once the Kurortny Boulevard in Kislovodsk was called the Topolinaya (Poplar) Alley. The old name is justified even now: a necklace from old poplars adorns a pedestrian street in summer and gives a perfect shadow. This is the main promenade of the city: blooming, cheerful, with a lot of cafes and restaurants, hotels and amusement facilities.
The length of the Kurortny Boulevard is 500 meters. It starts at the picturesque Kurortny Park with its beautiful colonnade and stretches to the famous Narzan Gallery, next to which there is a spontaneous exposition of local artists. Here, a tiled pointed star is laid out on the ground, symbolizing the geographical center of Kislovodsk.
