Stalin liked to visit his Sochi dacha with a unique view of the peaks of the Caucasus ridge in the "velvet season". During the war his daughter Svetlana and the family of his son Yakov lived at the dacha. Museum guides tell about it during the excursion in the house-museum "Stalin's Dacha".
The house-museum "Stalin's Dacha" is a green mansion built in 1937 on the territory of Mikhailovsky the former estate of an industrialist Mikhail Zenzinov. Now the dacha is located on the territory of the Zelenaya Roshcha Health Resort, to which the house was transferred after the death of the leader. In the course of the excursion they show where there was a cabinet and the bedroom of the leader, a fireplace hall in which meetings were held. The rooms are lined with precious wood. A small pool with sea water was provided in the basement. A separate wing is occupied by a billiard room and a cinema with a large leather sofa. The guests are greeted by the waxwork of Stalin sitting at the table. The table is decorated with a silver writing device donated by Mao Zedong.
