The Holy Trinity Cathedral is located in the center of Krasnodar, near the Kuban River embankment. It is the "elder brother" of St. Catherine's Cathedral. The temples are similar in appearance, as they were built of red brick before the Revolution. Even the history of the cathedrals is the same. The laying of this temple was also timed to the salvation of the imperial family from death during the train accident at the Borki station near Kharkov in 1888.
Over many decades after the Great Patriotic War, the Holy Trinity Cathedral was gradually destroyed and valuable things were taken out of it. The temple was restored only in the late 1980s. And in 2010 the cathedral celebrated its 100th anniversary. The church is distinguished by numerous quaint green domes on its roof. High rounded windows are decorated with stained-glass artwork, and there are icons in the niches of walls. Inside the temple is no less gorgeous, with a very beautiful white iconostasis with gilding. Its unique wall painting made by students of the Russian artist V.M. Vasnetsov has been restored after the reconstruction.
