Ethno Park «Nomad»: On a Visit to the Camels

There is a unique Ethno Park "Nomad" in the vicinity of Sergiyev Posad, dedicated to the nomadic peoples of Russia and the Near Abroad. There are authentic Mongolian and Turkic yurts, the Chukchi yaranga and the Nenets tents in the territory of the ethnographic museum 15 kilometers from the city.
You can enter the yurts and other houses in the Ethno Park "Nomad", sit there on the deer skins, patterned carpets and mats, listen to stories about the life of nomadic tribes and taste hot tea in the Tea Yurt. Moreover, you can change into Mongolian national clothes and take viewy photographs. The highlight of the Ethno Park is a large yard where camels from Kalmykia, yaks from Mongolia, donkeys, goats and geese live. In summer you will be offered to go camel riding, and in winter – ride a reindeer-drawn sleigh or dog sleds with real Alaskan malamutes. You can also pat and feed the park animals. Worth a look is the reconstructed Russian farm yard of the 10th century where you can do archery.
