Simferopol is unique in that it has the longest trolleybus route in the world! From the railway station and the airport of Simferopol you can reach the cities on the Black Sea coast - Alushta and Yalta. Local residents are so proud of their trolleybus that they have created a museum dedicated to the history of the electric transport.
The Museum of the History of Electric Transport developed on a voluntary basis. In early 1977, enthusiasts began collecting exhibits, and in November the museum started working in the premises of the "Krymtrolleybus" enterprise. Here, visitors will learn about the history of the trolleybus in Crimea and the uniqueness of the Crimean routes. Worth a look is the collection of trolleybus tickets. In total, there are about three thousand exhibits in the museum, among which the most noteworthy are the dioramas "A Tram on Pushkin Street" and "Trolleybus line on the bridge near Gurzuf".
