The temple in honor of the icon of Our Lady of "Tenderness" was laid in 1998. It is worth a visit for its unique history. This church appeared at the site of the Orthodox Odigitrievsky prayer house, which is unique by the fact that it appeared in Rostov-on-Don in 1942 and accepted believers until 1955. Later it was destroyed. Its creation was initiated by a 62-year-old priest, who bought a house and adapted it for a tiny church. He also consecrated the premises in the name of the icon of Our Lady of Smolensk, which in Russia has always been believed to defend the homeland from the enemy.
The church in honor of the icon of Our Lady of "Tenderness" was revived on the initiative of the citizens, who just named it after the icon, with the help of which St. Seraphim of Sarov had been healing the sick. The church interior paintings were completed in 2008: these are scenes from the Bible, icons of Seraphim of Sarov, Peter and Fevronia and other saints, three icons of the Mother of God, images of Jesus Christ, archangels and apostles.
