The history of Chistiakovskiy Grove Park began in 1900. Gavriil Stepanovich Chistyakov, the mayor of Krasnodar of that time, initiated tree planting in this place, which has become the basis for the future park. In Soviet times, the territory was called "Pervomayskiy Park". But during 1985-1990-ies the park was neglected and the grove turned into impenetrable thickets. The park was thoroughly reconstructed as late as in our day. It was reopened in 2008 and got its historical name. And in 2009 it was recognized as the best amusement park in Russia!
"Attraction Khutorok", an area in the Cossack style, appeared in the Chistyakovskiy Grove Park during the restoration work. Here you can see mud huts, a wicker fence, a watermill-shaped fountain, carts with hay and sculptures of Cossacks, "dressed" in folk clothes. Here you can go for a spin in a trailer to the strains of Cossack songs. The park is one of the favourite places of the newlyweds, as there are cozy romantic corners here for both photo sessions and just for recreation. Here you can find a fountain with Frog Princesses, forged benches with a canopy, decorative walls and fountains with snow-white sculptures and even a "Wedding Alley", which is laid out with a special tile with the names of newlyweds. A separate territory is occupied by a children's town and one-of-a-kind Rope Park in the city. Also in the park there is a station of young naturalists, numerous cafes, a book market and a picnic area.
