The Central Siberian Botanical Garden is located in Novosibirsk Akademgorodok. It was opened in 1946 and is considered the largest in the Asian part of Russia. The Botanical Garden contains the largest herbarium of the country, which includes 550 thousand specimens! And a total of over five thousand protected species of plants grow in this garden.
The Central Siberian Botanical Garden enables to walk through the birch and pine forest, the park "Bonsai", the "Stony garden", as well as explore the arboretum and the greenhouse with tropical plants. Worth particular attention is the “Garden of continuous flowering”. You can also find vultures, hawks, owls, squirrels, chipmunks, beavers, hares, weasels, foxes and roe deer in the garden.
