Catherine Garden Square with the monument to Catherine the Great completes the Krasnaya Street in Krasnodar. People come here to look at the sculpture of the empress, with the Cossacks and famous commanders of the late XVIII - early XIX centuries, settled at her feet. Here you can often see organized groups of Cossacks who come to honor their patroness. The monument was recreated in 2006. The pre-revolutionary version of the sculpture has not survived.
The Catherine Garden Square is popular with citizens who like to walk here with children and friends. If you look at the garden square from above, you can see that it is a circle with numerous alleys, paths, green lawns, spreading trees, bright flower beds and convenient benches. Here you can also meet newlyweds, who traditionally choose the garden square as one of the points of their wedding walk.
