The compact and strict Armenian Church in Yalta was built in 1909-1917. The Armenian Church of St. Hripsime located not far from Yerevan was a prototype for it. The unusual architecture of this temple attracts attention. The front entrance to the church with a grandiose staircase and a wide arched niche is in fact false. Only coming closer to the church, another staircase on its western side becomes visible and this is the real entrance.
All the canons of the Armenian churches are strictly observed in the external appearance of the Armenian Church. There are no unnecessary details, only an ornament made of stone. The material for the construction and decoration of the facade was volcanic tuff brought from the Crimean Foros. The interior decoration sustained in white and blue tones emphasizes the idea of purity and harmony, allowing parishioners to switch from worldly cares to the thoughts of the eternal.
