Potsdam Film Museum: in the kingdom of celluloid dreams
Potsdam film museum was created in the GDR and is located in the historical building of the former royal stables. Inside, everything is furnished with state-of-the-art equipment, though you can still feel the historical atmosphere. In the museum you can see the interiors of the Babelsberg film studio – one of the oldest in the world, as well as other famous German studios: DEFA, UFA.
In Potsdam film museum you have the possibility to watch retro films, learn what technical means were used in different eras, follow the creative life of Sara Leander and other legends of German and other cinema. Alongside the main exposition, there are special exhibitions regularly going on. The Babelsberg film park is not far away, even today soap operas and serious films are made there.
