Marklin Welt Museum in Titisee-Neustadt
Many children and their parents are familiar with the toys of the Marklin company. A railway forchildren is the main products of the company, its pride and visiting card. Thecompany was established back in 1859 by a tinsmith Theodor Märklin. In the time of his sonsthe company started to produce models of steam engines and toy trains. Thus, areal empire of toys was born and exists to this day.
There is a Marklin WeltMuseum in the resort town of Titisee-Neustadt. It is atrue paradise for those who are keen on toy railways - an adventure not onlyfor children but also for adults. You see, among the railway collectors thereare many of those who are no longer at a tender age. The museum exhibits modelsof railroad engines and trains of various years. It displays all themodifications which rolled off the Marklin assembly line. Upon completing themuseum trip, you can ride on a children's railway passing around the lake Titisee.
