It includes the first programmable computer Kondrad Zuse, the first airplane of the Wright brothers, the first automobile by Karl Benz, a collection of musical instruments, medical equipment, household appliances. Here you can go down to the real mine and get into a guitar. It is impossible to pass the 17 km museum route in one day, especially taking into account that the museum closes early. So people come back here again and again.
German engineer Oskar von Miller (1855-1934) proposed to create a "museum of masterpieces of science and technology". Initially the artifacts were exhibited in temporary premises, and in 1925 were placed in a building on the Museum Island (Museumsinsel).
