Local history museum of Eifel is dedicated to the nature in the Ahr river valley and daily life of its residents. Exposition is located in two Fachwerk houses and is not finds of excavations behind the glass but recreated constructions and landscapes. For example, there is a model of a rock cave of the Neanderthal men who lived here 60 thousand years ago and whose remains were found in the region.
In Eifel Museum you can see a carpenter’s workshop, a granary, a peasant house with a kitchen and a bedroom, an exposition dedicated to weaving. Permanent exhibition is dedicated to art: here you will see paintings by the local landscape painter Fritz von Wille. a model of a rock cave of the Neanderthal men who lived here 60 thousand years ago and whose remains were found in the region.
