The current Catholic church of St. Apollonia at the cemetery, first mentioned in the XIV century, combines the features of several styles. The choir with ribbed vaults is made inthe Romanesque style, the pulpit of the XVI century with the emblem of the Eltzcastle, brought from Münstermaifeld, is in late Gothic and the interiordecoration is in Baroque. The church bell was cast in the middle of the XVIIIcentury in Heidelbergby famous master Anselm Franz Speck.
In the XVIII century, the church became a place ofpilgrimage for those suffering from toothache. It is assumed that SaintApollonia is able to cure this pain. As believed, once you say «SantaApollonia!» the toothache immediately disappears.
