Brewery museum is located in the center of Lüneburg in the building of the oldest town brewery Kronen-Brauerei. The first mentioning of this brewery dates back to 1485, when Thomas Lampe opened “Kronen-Gasthaus”. Hermann Moellering bought the brewery in 1890, modernized it in 1904 and turned it into an enterprise with copper cauldrons and malt press. However 70 years later production was stopped, and equipment dismantled. In the museum you can see all mechanisms that were used in the production chain – from malt purification to fermentation.
