Bavarian Railway Museum was open in Nördlingen in 1985. Exposition is located in a depot where diesel trains used to be maintained in 1849-1985. Collection includes very interesting car models: from the earliest period (2nd half of the 19th century) to the more modern but already considered rarities 20th century cars.
Besides the collection, museum also offers a ride: you can take a ride to two nearest stations of Gunzenhausen and Dombühl in a rarity train. All trains are in perfect condition. Some of them are used by the railway employees who inspect and maintain the railway.
