The New Castle is not only the most visible landmark in Ingolstadt, but also the most valuable in the truest sense of the word! It houses one of the largest military museums in Germany - the Bavarian Army Museum. It includes armor of the medieval knights, military uniforms of the Bavarian monarchs and modern army outfit ...

Trophies obtained in the battles against the Turks are also kept in the Bavarian Army Museum. This vast exhibition was moved to Ingolstadt from Munich and is the most complete collection of military items of Bavaria. The museum is interesting for both children and adults, especially because it is located in the ancient halls of the magnificent former residence of Bavarian rulers.
