The Chapel of Arseniy Komelsky reminds of a saint from the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, who founded the Church of the Deposition of the Virgin's Robe in Vologda in the mid-16th century. His grave started to attract pilgrims to the city, when it became known about the miraculous healings around it.
The Neo-Gothic Chapel of Arseniy Komelsky with decorative turrets is more like a Catholic than an Orthodox church. Its construction was completed in the early 20th century, and in 1924 the chapel was closed. In the 1930s, the building was given to disabled people. Nowadays the chapel houses a cafe.
