There is a cozy and beautiful Stone Park near the Railway Station of Perm. It appeared in 1973 on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the city. Here you can see stones – various samples of the Ural rocks - everywhere among benches and paths. Each stone has a sign plate telling about its chemical composition and industrial application.
Exhibitions dedicated to contemporary art are regularly held in the Stone Park. This is a great opportunity for local sculptors to show their work to the public. Some art objects and installations after such exhibitions blend seamlessly into the park landscape. Thus, a few years ago, a wooden sculpture "Perm Gates" in the form of a giant letter "P" and a funny screech beetle with his ball appeared in the Stone Park.
