The first Holy Trinity Church appeared in Motovilikhinsky district of Perm at the end of the XVIII century. The money for its construction was raised by workers of the local plant. However, the wooden building fell into disrepair 20 years later and collapsed. Perm diocese decided to build a new large stone church. So, in 1836 there appeared a majestic white church in the Byzantine style, topped with golden domes.
After the Soviet days, being troublous for the Russian Orthodoxy, when the temple housed one of the city's factories, the Holy Trinity Church was returned to Believers. A friary was opened in the adjacent territory, which currently has a lot of priories and metochions in the Permian villages. Here you can find a monastery library of religious literature, a Sunday school for children and adults, as well as a unique icon workshop "The Good".
