The Station square "meets" all travelers arriving to Pskov by train. Alleys and paths, flowering plants and shady trees are pleasing here in the warm season.
The Station square is decorated with a small Chapel of the Resurrection of Christ. It has been standing here since 2003 as a tribute to the memory of the event that happened a century ago. It was at Pskov station that on March 2, 1917, in his railway car the last Russian emperor Nicholas II signed a renunciation of the throne. And the Russian Empire ceased to exist. The Chapel of the Resurrection of Christ is a single architectural ensemble with the building of the railway station, which was built in the city much earlier, namely in 1863 according to the design of the French architect in the style of classicism.
