The Cultural and Historical Complex «Saray-Batu»: the History and Oriental Flavor

The Cultural and Historical Complex «Saray-Batu» is a unique open-air museum. It is located 140 kilometers from Astrakhan. A maximally authentic city of Saray-Batu, which had been the capital of the mighty and dangerous state of the Golden Horde, was built here for the film. Unfortunately, the city is gradually destroyed under the influence of wind and rain. But everyone who visited this place, speak of it as of an exceptionally atmospheric place.

In the «Saray-Batu», everyone can temporarily become an inhabitant of the ancient capital: try on old military armor, learn to shoot with a battle bow or crossbow, ride a camel, learn about the harsh laws and customs of the Golden Horde and feel like a participant of long-gone historical events. You can get to this place with a bus excursion or in your car.
